hela Sverige Vehicle Engineering is a function within GTT, responsible for developing complete trucks for the Truck brands within the Volvo Group.
Vehicle Development is a new department within Vehicle Engineering based on the existing Vehicle Architect function with the responsibility to cover:
• Platform management
• Complete technical product ownership over time
• Complete technical project deliveries for all vehicles
We are now looking for a Weight- and Dimension Architects within the Vehicle Data Expert group at Vehicle Development Gothenburg. We manage complete vehicle questions with focus on vehicle weight and dimensions. As an architect you work in an organization of leaders and vehicle specialists, setting the roadmap for the development our future vehicle ranges.
We offer a challenging task which will develop your complete vehicle knowledge. You will get insight in how the truck is used by end customer, how it is sold to our customers and the engineering team delivers. The work is truly cross functional and you team up with almost all functions in the Trucks organization, giving you an extensive network. In this position, you will work both with hardware and software solutions.
The work is very varied and not many days are alike. You will spend time with our products, both theoretically by calculations but also in reality measuring our vehicles. Our tasks spans over the whole project life cycle, from strategic pre-study work to documentation and maintenance. We are also flexible with the roles in the team and you will manage at least two: weight architect, dimension architect and/or chassis drawings (complete vehicle drawings). We deliver data for commercial and legal purpose with direct impact on our end customers - giving us direct feedback on our deliveries and short lead times.

Required Competencies and Experience
We are now looking for a person with Truck knowledge, experience in our Volvo PDM systems and a passion for our trucks! We believe you are service minded, outspoken and have the energy to drive changes and improvements.
We believe a strong candidate has:
• Good knowledge in truck's applications and truck related regulations
• A strong business mindset
• Good KOLA and EDB knowledge
• Excellent presentation skills
• Strength to drive for long term change
Minimum Education Required
• Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
