Humpty Dumpty Parent Cooperative is looking for a preschool assistant to join their team of engaged and professional teachers. As part of the team, you will contribute to the provision of a positive, caring and stimulating preschool environment for all children. Our work is project based, inviting the children to explore and learn through discovery; planning through observation and reflection with the children and as a team.
We are looking for someone who has an interest in child development and is inspired by the philosophy of Reggio Emilia.
At Humpty Dumpty we strive to engage the children in an inspiring and meaningful environment where they are invited to explore different areas of interest through well thought out and meaningful provocations and provision of materials and resources.
Speaking and understanding the English language is an important part of the role at our preschool and you are competent in both English and Swedish, showing an interest in other languages and cultures.
You would be expected to contribute to development discussions and parent meetings as well as showing engagement, respect, and warmth in all contact with parents and colleagues.
Humpty Dumpty Nursery School is a parent cooperative located in Östermalm, Stockholm. Humpty Dumpty was established in 1991, which makes it one of the very first international preschools in the city. It was founded as an English-speaking preschool and prides itself on offering a truly international experience for children, families, and teachers from all over the world. Humpty Dumpty is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to working with young children and encourages learning and growth through exploration, questioning, and nurturing the skills to lifelong learning. At the moment Humpty Dumpty has 27 children and 5 staff members from many countries working and learning together in a family-like environment. Humpty Dumpty is more than an international preschool, it is a place that encourages community and fun evening and weekend activities as well as old and new traditions.
