Are you passionate about fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace? We are seeking an engaging and visionary leader, with in-depth DEI expertise and experience, to join us as our Vice President of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I).
About the Role
In this role, you will champion our global DE&I strategy, driving initiatives that empower every employee to bring their authentic selves to work, and that allows Essity to lead in selected DEI areas.
The position will report into our Chief Human Resources Officer.

What You Will Do
In line with Essity's mission, values, and goals, continue to develop and execute a vision and strategy for DE&I globally, and ensure it's creating value from a workplace- and marketplace perspective.
Define and execute global initiatives related to DE&I in full alignment with the DE&I strategy.
Drive the DE&I agenda and priorities, partnering across the organization; engaging HR and the Business in building and sustaining a culture of inclusion, to ensure that DEI is integrated into all people processes as well as every part of the business.
Drive the DE&I internal networks and develop and implement the DE&I way of working.
Continuously update, activate and own the global DE&I policy, programs and initiatives that promote DE&I.
Establish and follow-up on metrics and KPIs to evaluate the impact of DE&I efforts globally.
Responsible for annual DE&I reporting (includes Sustainability reporting, D&I report, etc.).
Partner with Communications to communicate internal and external DE&I initiatives, events and progress.
Program lead of the Group Engagement Survey and monitor progress.
Manage broader aspects of inclusion (eg. Well-being TBC).
Act as the Essity DE&I ambassador externally and internally and lead the DE&I Council on behalf of our CEO.


Who You Are
Bachelor's degree in relevant field and significant senior role experience leading DE&I work within a global matrix organization.
Proven experience in designing, managing, and implementing Global DEI programs, tracking DE&I data and analytics.
Deep understanding of DE&I concepts, theories, frameworks, best practices, and the legal and ethical implications of DE&I policies and programs.
Possess expertise in change management, capable of inspiring and leading through our Belief's & Behaviors, bringing your authentic self to each conversation.
Develop proactively and pragmatically business objectives by setting a compelling picture of the vision of bringing in inclusivity and belongingness in Essity.
Build a strategy that motivates others to action and create a climate where people are motivated to do their best.
Ability to lead, influence, and collaborate with people at all levels and across different functions and backgrounds, internally and externally.
High emotional intelligence, cultural competence, and interpersonal skills that demonstrates the courage to take smart risks that improve business performance.
A passion for DE&I and willingness to learn and grow are essential qualities for success.
You are an excellent written and verbal communicator and facilitator, able to adjust your communication according to the stakeholders.
English is mandatory, additional languages are an advantage.
