We currently have the following job opening;
Vice President Chassis and Safety Electronics
As Vice President, you will manage Chassis and Safety Electronics globally, in Sweden and China.
• Chassis and Safety Electronics are responsible for the development of wheel suspension, steering system, safety electronics, brakes, wheels and tyres. The responsibility also covers the vehicle dynamic attributes.
Your challenge
We are currently developing a new platform for future C-segment cars, addressing the needs of both Volvo Cars and Geely Auto. Together with your six direct reporting managers and employees you need to continuance strengthen the organization and its ability to deliver products that meet our customer's expectations. We are continuously working on refining the chassis systems to create world class products and in parallel also developing active safety features allowing us to have more and more autonomous drive. Your organization consists of approximately 150 people in both Sweden and China.
In your role as VP Chassis and Safety Electronics you report directly to Head of R&D. You are a part of R&D management team where you contribute with your knowledge and also gets support in your daily work.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for you that have experience of product development in large organizations, preferably automotive. You should have documented leadership capabilities both as a manager and project leader of complex projects. Cultural awareness, specifically between Europe and Asia is also important factors to be successful.
Today you are a leader who is inspiring and who through personal engagement creates commitment in the organization. You enjoy working both operationally and strategically.
To be successful in the role, it is important that you are positive, take initiative, work well with other people, and show both self-confidence and good judgment when making statements and taking decisions.
You understand that building a new organization requires flexibility and ability to take decisions based on previous experience.
Suitable theoretical background is master of science within mechanical engineering or similar.
