Volvo Group Design is the design function for the Group's brands and business areas. The team provides design to products, digital solutions and services from the three studios located in Gothenburg, Sweden, Lyon, France and Greensboro NC, US.
We are now looking for more brilliant UX Designers at different levels of seniority to join our design team located in Lundby, Gothenburg.
Position Description
As a UX Designer in Volvo Group Design you work closely with our business and solution delivery partners, translating business, technology and customer/user requirements into value adding, delightful and brand distinct concepts, designs and solutions.
With us you get to experience what it's like to work in a creative design studio, but also close to developers in an agile setup. You collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams to innovate, design, prototype, test and develop the design concepts all the way to final implementation for HMI, apps and web etc.
Our UX Designers play an important role in translating the core brand message in the execution. They are tasked with securing consistent UX, interaction and visual treatment of elements and components across products and services, considering a cohesive holistic experience.
We offer you an interesting UX Designer role where you will have the ability to deep dive in different types of functions (safety, security, productivity or infotainment etc.) and work across a broad range of digital channels and touchpoints over time.
At Volvo Group Design you will work with skilled and passionate colleagues in all areas of design to bring premium products and services to the market.
Requirements
Minimum BA/MSc or equivalent degree in Interaction Design or a related design discipline
2-10+ years of industry design experience
Full understanding of and ability to deliver work independently using design processes, creative methods and tools
Good understanding of all aspects of UX and the process from research to visual design and development
Knowledge of interaction design patterns and applications within a variety of contexts (vehicle, mobile, web, etc.)
Agile understanding and experience
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Aesthetic skills proven in portfolio
Fluent in English

Excellent cross functional collaboration skills - ability to manage multiple stakeholders, diverse requirements, conflicting prioritizations and comfortable with changes of direction or approach
Team player that enjoys motivating and supporting others

In this position you will report to the Group Manager User Experience and be placed in Gothenburg.
