Scania Sustainable City Solutions (SCS) plan, develop and implement a city transportation system comprising both people and goods. We are taking future technological development into consideration when creating today's solution. Solutions are based on locally produced alternative fuels including electrification. This means energy self-sufficient cities with fully connected door to door concepts to improve quality of life for the City's inhabitants and increase attractiveness for investors.
Scania Sustainable City Solutions (SCS) focus on people when developing tomorrow's society. We are counsellors for strategy and analysis from planning to implementation. Our focus areas are urban planning, traffic planning, regional development and infrastructure. These areas influence people's everyday existence and constitute the basis for a high degree of functionality in society.
Urbanisation is increasing and cities are growing which will affect both cities and the city surroundings. By using state of the art connectivity solutions we will reduce congestion and noise, improve air quality and logistics (including waste handling). We will help our customers to plan for a sustainable future.
Assignment
We are looking for someone who wants to be a part of a recently started organisation (SCS). We are a team with strong drive for sustainable city solutions. The team works with many different exciting domestic and global projects including strategic investigations in an early stage for expansion of roads/streets in sustainable city environments, creating space for a connected, high quality and efficient transit operation for people, inflow of goods and outflow of waste. We name it BRT-corridors with stations rather than bus stops for passenger transport. We divide the capacity during day and night between people and goods transportation. We always strive for achieving the best results which requires a strong team spirit, enthusiasm, and technical know-how.
In order to meet an increased demand of our services within traffic planning we need someone who will work as a strategic planner, investigator and project leader at the same time. The work consists mainly of governing and steering projects including investigating and planning for the development of cities transportation system. The work has to be presented in a pedagogically way for the general public and the decision-makers. The assignment is focused on business development which means extensive communication with customers, business partners, authorities and colleagues.
Your Profile
We believe that you are an engineer, planning architect or equivalent with at least five year of experience from the field of urban transport planning. You have probably already established a well-defined network within this competence area. You need to have excellent knowledge about the physical planning process for city solution infrastructure and a strong drive to develop yourself and others within this area. We expect you to be customer oriented, communicative, target oriented, fluent in Swedish and English and a good team player with passion for business development.
