We offer attractive technical education at undergraduate and graduate levels and conduct advanced research in several technological areas. The School of Engineering is able to award doctorates in the area of industrial product realization. We collaborate with surrounding society to develop new technology and spread knowledge to strengthen the competitiveness of companies. Working with us, you are close to colleagues in an international environment with great opportunities to influence and develop.
The department of Supply Chain and Operations Management is engaged in education on bachelor, master and doctoral levels, as well as commissioned education to private and public organizations. Research is also conducted which supports our educational offer. We have an open, informal work environment where openness, respect and generosity are some of our key values. The department is responsible for the delivery of 'concept' courses (that is: courses in group dynamics, leadership, project management and entrepreneurship) to students in all programmes at the School of Engineering.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering courses in the above subjects, with an emphasis on organisational psychology. They will also be expected to contribute to innovation and quality assurance in educational activities. Initially, the post involves the coordination of the department's concept courses and support to programme managers with regards to accreditation routines and to the entire department with regards to internationalisation.
Qualification
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's or master's degree in organisational psychology. The master's degree needs to be in a subject of clear relevance to the department's education. It is meritorious if you have stand-alone courses in leadership, inter-cultural skills, education or accountancy.
You need to have at least 2 years of experience of fulltime work in a higher education institution, in teaching or in tasks directly related to quality assurance, internationalisation and/or programme or course delivery. It is meritorious if you have direct experience of implementing Swedish and European systems of higher education and quality assurance. It is also meritorious if you have experience as coordinator, project manager or managerial level within industry.
Experience in digital learning platforms is required, primarily PingPong and Canvas. You also need to be fluent in spoken and written Swedish and English. It is meritorious if you have moderate to high skills in additional languages. We are looking for someone who has experience of studying abroad or extensive interaction with non-Swedish students and staff. It is meritorious if you have experience of administrative or coordinative tasks relating to international students.
The department is undergoing a process of intense development, not least in the areas of quality assurance and internationalisation. As a result, it is essential that you have both the ambition and the capacity to grow 'with' the department. As a person you have a history of ongoing learning and development within the organisations in which you have worked. You also have a track record of effective communication and coordination, in the roles in which you have worked.
In view of the expectations on the future development of the role, it is vital that you intend to pursue a career in university education and/or research. You must also have the possibility and ambition to closely engage in the activities of the department.
