The Consultant role
As a consultant you may be placed at different customers. UCG will assist with extra training when needed. As a consultant we need you to be flexible and to easily adapt to a new environment.
Education/training
Our roles requires a basic technical education, sometimes university level.
Experience
We require at least 3 years of relevant job experience for all roles, mostly more.
Required experience for this role:
• More than 5 years' experience in quality assurance and test automation of embedded systems and telecom products
• Experience from test automation in Python or TCL, and manual testing in a lab environment
• Used to read standards and requirements and see how the product should be tested
• Developing test plans
• Able to document, manuals and test descriptions
• Experience working in an Agile development environment
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent experience

• Additional plus if you can support as a Mentor for young Software QA Engineers
Your tasks:
• Work as a system tester in the telecom industry
• Testing in the embedded area
• Report, investigate and follow up defects.
• you will encounter things like WDM, coherent multiplexing, ITU-T, IEEE, SDN, TCP/IP, Ethernet and/or OTN
• Agile testing
