Two Post-doc Positions (2 years) in Organic Chemistry
Project description
The Laboratories for Chemical Biology Umeå (LCBU) is an infrastructure that offers small molecule screening and chemistry support. LCBU is engaged in several projects at different levels. The candidates for the positions will work in a multidisciplinary team applying organic and medicinal chemistry to design and synthesize compounds. A primary goal is to establish structure-activity relationships in order to guide further optimization to reach potent compounds active in cell-based assays.
Requirements
To qualify for a position as post-doc you should have a PhD degree or equivalent, not more than three years old, in organic chemistry with focus on organic, bioorganic, or medicinal chemistry. You must be familiar with modern synthetic methodology and purification techniques, as well as characterization techniques including HPLC, LCMS, and NMR spectroscopy. The successful applicant should have good ability to write and speak in English, creativity, power of initiative, independence and ability to collaborate.
