What we offer
The department Exterior Systems has responsibilities to develop the vehicle exterior mechatronic systems which involves development of customer functionality, system design, hardware design, software development and verification on all levels. The technical responsibility covers system solutions in various areas, among them exterior front light and rear light, wipers, washer, sensor cleaning and rear-view systems/mirrors. Exterior Systems is also developing the automated test infrastructure for Vehicle Tophat and Vehicle Platform.
We are now looking for a team manager. You will be responsible for a group of 25+ skilled engineers, engaged in agile development teams with technical responsibility within the two areas of Rear Lighting and Rear View Systems. Involved components are among others the rear lights including the electronic control unit, as well as brake light. The other part of the group handles inner and outer rear view mirrors and the future camera monitoring system. Close cooperation with our colleagues in China is part of the set up.
What you will do
You will be part of the management team within the department and you will report to the head of the department. You will be working actively with your development teams and ensure the team members ' individual development, in order to reach the common set target and goals. The collaboration with the Product Owner and the Scrum Master in each team is an important base for the team development and success, and in that trio will one of your main responsibilities be to assure availability of competence and to secure future competence development.
We have started a journey to bring more of the development and engineering work in-house and one of your tasks will be to ensure the competence development and enhancement to succeed with that ambition.
You will be acting in an international environment and will be part of the interface to various global suppliers. Outlining technology strategies is part of your responsibility and it requires a constant need of staying updated within the technical areas related to the teams. This position offers possibilities to long-term development within a continuously growing area that have a bright and exciting future ahead.
You and your skills
You are experienced in hardware design and system development. You have documented leadership experience and are inclusive, communicative, team oriented and customer focused. You support the teams by being present and attentive to the teams ' needs, but at the same time challenge them to continuously learn. You guide and coach employees in the agile way of working, by providing them the information and support needed. You have a technical interest, but you prefer working through and with people to develop their strength
* B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Automotive, Mechanical, Electrical, Physics Engineering or equivalent.
* Driving licence (B) is necessary.
* Experience from working in an agile environment and that you are SAFe educated is beneficial.
* Knowledge in electronic development is beneficial.
