hela Sverige Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Team Lead Energy & Utilities Engineer to join our Stockholm team.
In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in developing a new generation of large-scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon-free society, and this is your opportunity to take part in leading those efforts and help drive us to success.
This role will lead and oversee the Energy & Utilities Engineering team in a dynamic factory setting. Drive the design, implementation, and optimization of energy and utility systems to ensure the efficient and sustainable operation of the battery manufacturing facility.
Key responsibilities:
Collecting and validating the utility requirements (power, cooling, heating, gases, chemicals, water, etc.) of the process equipment systems.
Working with R&D engineers at Northvolt, suppliers, and engineering companies from all around the world to coordinate utility requirements.
Integration of the utilities requirements into a holistic factory design level.
Developing and maintaining models for material & energy balance, BFD, PFD, etc.; in a process and factory level, to validate and challenge utility needs.
Validation of our utility requirements using measured data from our existing factories.
Developing and maintaining data-driven methods and automated tools to automate the processes for managing the data.
Lead and coordinate the tasks and responsibilities of the Energy & Utilities Team, making sure that work is being controlled and monitored.
Assign and distribute the work within the team, and facilitate the collaboration with other internal and external teams and organizations.
Requirements
Qualifications and experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy and utilities engineering within a production-heavy environment.
Specific skills
Proficiency in energy system design, optimization, and project management.
Familiarity with battery manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
