System Engineer

The group Security Electronics develops Theft Protection, Central Locking, Remote and the Immobiliser System for our vehicles. We even provide all projects with keys, key reader components as well as alarm components and power operated tailgate units.

As System Engineer you are responsibility for the electrical system solution cross the car which is a result of deep discussion and collaboration with different attribute and function owners. The job is mainly driven in early phases of projects where the system engineer is responsible to develop a system which is fulfilling the agreed system solution. The system needs to comply with all agreed requirements realised by customer function owners, other attribute owners and different legal and insurance requirements. In addition you are collaborating with the suppliers of the Power Operated Tailgate (POT), ECU and Kick Sensor and ensure fulfillment of all requirements from a component perspective. Drive towards fulfillment of SW Requirements as well as quality assurance of our own and the suppliers deliverables is also part of your responsibility.

Main responsibilities

• Receive requirements from function owners / attribute owners and other stakeholder within and outside of the section
• Develop system solution for the projects and document them in Elektra / Teamcenter etc.
• Being SW Responsible for POT and Kick Sensor ECU, quality assuring suppliers and our own deliverables

Required qualifications

• Technical university background (bachelor or higher or comparable knowledge gathered by long time practical experience)
• Knowledge in system engineering or safety related components/systems
• Previous experience from software and/or hardware development within automotive industry
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• AutoSAR-knowledge, Elektra and model based development knowledge is meritorious
• Knowledge of safety relevant product or system development (i.e. ISO26262) is meritorious
