Platform Development is a function within Global Product Development at Volvo Buses which is responsible for platform development, architecture, project management and test. As a System Configuration Manager you will be a part of the Electrical & Electronics Development department with its mission to develop, test and verify the electrical system through concept phases up to serial production and maintenance while optimizing demands on quality, deliveries, cost and features all over the world.

Role description
You will play an important role in the development of our new electrical architecture and the complete embedded system together with your team colleagues. The role requires frequent communication with both internal and external suppliers regarding requirements, time plans and change management. Depending on the current project portfolio and project phases, the focus for your work will vary but your main responsibilities within the role are to:
• Plan, create and release baselines for the entire embedded system in cooperation with the project managers
• Actively taking part in planning functionality and software growth in the complete electrical system over time
• Overall responsible for the SystemWeaver tool including the information model
• Working with improvements on methods and tools for the development of the embedded systems at Volvo bus in close cooperation with Volvo trucks and our suppliers
• The Electrical and Electronics Development department is a global department where we cooperate a lot between the sites, which might mean some traveling between Sweden, Poland, Mexico and Brazil

Who are you?
To be successful in this job you have knowledge from working with distributed electrical systems and a drive to develop simple solutions to complex problems. We are continuously working with improving our efficiency so we want you to take an active part in our improvement work with methods and processes.
But most of all you have an inclusive mindset. You have a strong customer focus, you communicate fluently in English and you love to be part of a team where we take own initiatives and take pride in your own and the team's deliveries.
If you have the stuff listed below as well, that would be great. However these are only preferable. Like sunshine on Midsummer. That would also be awesome, but I guess we are usually quite happy even if it's not.
• Master or Bachelor of Science in electronics, data or similar
• Experience of model based development, tools and methods
• Experience from development of embedded systems in the automotive industry
• Knowledge of SAFe-Scaled Agile Framework or other similar agil methologies
• Knowledge in SW design and Electronic design
• Knowledge from working with CAN and LIN communication
• ISO26262 knowledge
