ISH was established in 1995 to answer a growing demand for a truly international education at the Primary and Secondary levels. Today, we have approximately 650 students between 3 and 19 years of age attending our Pre-school, Primary School, Middle School and Diploma Programme with International Baccalaureate. Our teachers come from more than 30 different countries all over the world, and the same goes for our students.
Our Pre, Primary and Middle schools are located in our own building at Östra Vallgatan 9. These programmes offer an alternative for international families who are residing in the Helsingborg region on a temporary basis, or for those moving overseas. Our Diploma Program is located in a separate building at Nicolai School at Studievägen 2, and is an excellent choice for all students, Swedish or International, looking to further their studies abroad or in Sweden once they graduate. The aim of our school is to develop internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world.

You possess a teaching certificate in English and/or Swedish. The responsibilities of the assignment includes planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons for these courses. Other duties include pastoral care for a small number of students. The assignment will be mainly in our DP program, but could also involve MYP (Middle Years Program) / högstadiet.
The successful candidate will be a strong team player and have the ability to work collaboratively with members of the languages department. We are seeking an ambitious candidate with strong pedagogical skills and a desire to develop the subjects across the school.

ISH offers you a stimulating and fun work environment. ISH is very much the heart of the international community in Helsingborg. We have a program of activities for both students and families in additional to the academic learning. Seasonal events such as Winter and Spring fares, sports days, our yearly Spring Formal dance, drama and musical productions, UF, open house, mässa exhibitions, and class field trips all offer unique opportunities to be involved. Students also actively take part in the many theme days that we celebrate during the year. Nobel Day, World Book Day, and International Day are just some of the themes that bring our students together as a whole school to celebrate together.
Every year a group of Diploma students accompanied by teachers attend a global MUN activity (Modelling United Nations). This year the students went to Shanghai where they had great fun, a great experience, and have lasting memories for life.
ISH prides itself on its international uniqueness and diversity of teaching staff and students. Each and every one of them bring something exciting and enriching to the school which creates an inspiring environment. IB diploma results are considerably higher than the IB world average on grades, points and diploma achievement.
KvalifikationerThe experienced required is a teaching diploma at upper secondary school level. We see it as a advantage if you have some years teaching experience, preferably from IB. To bee successful in this position you need to be fluent in both English and Swedish.
The successful candidate will be a strong team player and have the ability to work collaboratively with members of the languages department. We are seeking an ambitious candidate with strong pedagogical skills and a desire to develop the subjects across the school.
We expect you to be very familiar with modern digital technology and programmes, and have previously used them to communicate with both students and staff. Preferably, you also have experince of IB softwares but this is not a requirement.
