Purchasing within Commercial Operations is a department within Scania Purchasing, created to accelerate the integration of the purchasing activities in Scania Commercial Operations companies worldwide. Together with the Commercial Operations organisation we are developing new ways of working with purchasing and can offer a very challenging and entrepreneurial environment. In this work we have the opportunity to leverage volumes and spend across countries and business units.

Vehicle Related Services (VRS) is a new and rapidly expanding business area within Scania. In brief, its activities involve enabling Scania's workshops to take on the role of an effective Solution Provider for customers for complete vehicles, i.e. vehicle bodywork and trailers. VRS is currently organised as a separate company within Commercial Operations with its own income statement and a clear focus on revenue.

We are now looking for a new sourcing manager to the Central team in Södertälje.
Your main mission is to support the VRS group .

Job Description as Sourcing Manager
Working as a strategic purchaser you will be responsible for the development and implementation of purchasing activities mainly for our VRS assortment.

The procurement areas that you will work with covers a wide area of responsibility.
The work includes responsibility for sourcing strategies, supplier selection and negotiations as well as supplier quality, service and cost development. Together we create value for the customers, staff and stakeholders by managing procurement deals with respect to a wide range of products and services.

For the position we believe you have relevant experience from a purchasing environment of minimum 3 years. Your ability to create confidence and trust among colleagues at Scania Purchasing and our internal customers will be vital. The position demands high level of initiative and self-motivation.

Your position also includes being a member of the VRS Management Group.

Your profile
We are looking for a team player, for whom its evident that joint efforts drive change. You are positive, service minded and a driven person. Earlier experiences from parts and services business is considered as a merit. You probably have a degree from university or similar.

We are looking for someone who is a natural leader and who enjoys varied tasks, both large and small and to follow it through. Other important qualities for achieving success in the role are an ability to communicate and to develop and maintain a broad network of contacts, both internal and external. You should be capable of expressing yourself fluently in both written and spoken English. The work requires travelling to some extent.
