Are you looking for a chance to develop your technical skills in an environment suited for those who are comfortable and interested in technical development within the field of communications. As subject matter expert you will specialize in Microsoft .NET and C++ development and working within the development department to provide product development of new features and products including maintenance and support of the products if required.
The company offers possibilities to work with bleeding edge technology and a chance to learn from experts within the subject. Trio are seated in modern locales in central Stockholm not far from Odenplan (S:t Eriksgatan 117).
Main responsibilities
• Carry out research as requested in a controlled and productive manner.
• Produce software to the specifications required, on time and within budget.
• Produce source code that is reliable, robust and fault free.
• Co-ordinate with other production teams, third party suppliers and other involved groups to ensure that software is delivered as part of a coordinated effort.
• Facilitate product documentation where required.
• Facilitate continuous improvement of Products, Services and Processes to maximize customer satisfaction and profitability.
• Test product deliverables at key milestones. Anticipate the risks and issues through the lifecycle of the development.
• Ensure that the quality of the software and bespoke deliverables are fully tested before release to customers, including unit testing, bulk call testing and product testing.
• Work with the support team to resolve any software faults, including extensive testing and customer site visits if required.
• Communicate frequently and consistently with internal parties involved on the progress of key products.
• Participate in scoping/needs analysis and consult with customers to understand application requirements and apply to product customization.
• Understand the commercial implication of the projects, tracking costs and alignment within budget expectations.
Skills and personal experience
• An academic degree equal or in parity with a university degree of computer science
• Planning and organisational skills
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience in software development and software development methodologies
• Willingness to work with new/unfamiliar/bleeding edge technologies - Knowledge of communications technologies would be advantageous.
• Determination to learn & professionalism to finalize software development on time and within budget.
• Ability to work to tight schedules
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, to gather information from and for people
• Reliable, confident, self-motivated and ambitious
• Ability to work in conjunction with other team members to contribute to delivery of profit for the business.
• Ability and desire to innovate - creative and methodical
Technical skills:
• Compilers: Microsoft .NET (C#), C++
• Platforms: Microsoft Windows Client & Server
• Protocols: TCP, UDP, HTML
• Real-time server programming\distributed systems architecture knowledge (including: client /server programming)
