Software Architect for Scania IT
The Order to Delivery (O2D) department within Scania IT is responsible for developing and managing IT support systems within Scania's entire flow from customer order to logistics, production, delivery and invoicing, as well as industrial maintenance. The MES (Manufacturing Execution System) organisation within O2D is a team whose main responsibility is to supply MES application support to Scania's production.
The group, which currently consists of around 18 people: maintenance managers, test managers, testers, developers, business analysts and software architects, supports Scania's production operations in Sweden, Europe and Brazil. As use of our MES application APRISO is increasing, we are now seeking a software architect.

Your duties
As a software architect with the MES team at Scania IT, you will be part of an organisation that works on both implementation projects and administration of our MES application APRISO.
Your responsibility as a software architect is to structure and design the software so that it meets customer requirements while also ensuring that the solution is manageable and reusable. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the solutions developed are cost-effective and follow Scania's strategy for maintenance solutions that can be reused.
Our aim is for as many of our functions as possible to undergo automated tested. As a software architect, you will be responsible for the integration between developer and tester functioning effectively.
Your profile
You will have a relevant university degree, supplemented with experience as a software architect and detailed knowledge of manufacturing. Experience of discrete manufacturing would be an advantage. As Scania's MES solution is based on APRISO, you will need to have experience of this platform. We also expect that you will have experience of design work with diagrams in Enterprise Architect, for example, process, information, use case and requirement models, etc. in accordance with the UML standard. As our working method is based on the ISA95 standard, you must be familiar with ISA95 in general and the MES element in particular. In addition to Swedish, you need to be proficient in written and spoken English, our company language.
