DIS is a non-profit study abroad foundation with offices in Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Minneapolis. DIS provides semester, academic year, and summer programs taught in English, and offers high-impact learning experiences for upper-division undergraduate students from distinguished North American colleges and universities.

Job description: Social Media Publishing + Content Creation
• Publish social media content on DIS platforms.
• Ensure that media used in social media is effective; engage with audiences, respond to reactions, and suggest changes to future strategy
• Update events at DIS Stockholm on the website / infoscreens
• Arrange interviews with target subjects and gather permissions
• Write, edit, and collect quotes, interviews, and other feature media for blogs and social media platforms
• Assist in content writing and/or editing rounds for other areas within marketing and communication initiatives Photography + Videography
• Shoot high quality video clips/b-roll and photos for use across marketing and communication platforms and materials
• Support in video production as needed
• Help fulfill DIS image needs by taking photos while at DIS events, Study Tours, classroom/course lectures
• Take new staff photos at DIS Stockholm Student Media Group
• Interview, train, mentor, and act as a leader for the Student Bloggers and Summer Writers in Copenhagen and Stockholm
• Recruit, communicate during the application process, and organize all student media applications (Bloggers, Photographers, Illustrators, Videographers)

Administrative
Respond to emails in the studentmedia@dis.dk inbox
Manage and maintain all video and photographic gear at DIS Stockholm and organize lending processes
Purchase thank you gifts for our DIS Stockholm stock, so we always have a variety of options for photo and video shoot participants
Hang posters throughout the city for Scandinavian audience recruitment
Prepare events held for students, including set up and break down
Attend after-hour and possibly weekends for DIS and CMD events
Additional administrative and additional marketing projects as needed

Qualifications:
Personal Skills and Qualities
• Pro-active, self-starter and can work independently while being collaborative within the team
• The CMD Team is based in Copenhagen. Therefore, you need to be independent in doing your tasks while also being an effective team player who communicates clearly
• Multi-tasker who is deadline-oriented
• Notetaker who is detailed and can also see the big picture
• Take constructive criticism well and have worked
with projects that included multiple edit rounds
• Clear in written and verbal communication
• Fluent in English (oral and written)
• Comfortable presenting in front of a crowd; you will present for student and staff groups for trainings
• Stakeholder and teamwork oriented - you are able to adapt to different work styles to cooperate with DIS faculty, students, and staff
• Outgoing and friendly, and know how to put your subjects at ease and give feedback during a shoot to ensure a shoot reaches its full potential
• Had a positive and engaging study abroad experience(s)! We hope you are passionate about international exchange and wish to instill this in current and future students

Professional Skills and Qualities
• Active user of social networks (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, and beyond) and constant follower of current media trends
• Preferred working or internship experience in social media, web, and other marketing use
• Marketing writer within the DIS brand, adhering to the well-defined tone and voice
• Creative mind that can think across media needs and conceptualize framing of content for all DIS audiences
• Comfortable shooting high-quality video and photos with Canon DSLRs and various lenses, a plus if you have experience in shooting interviews with various types of sound gear
• Willing to film or photograph people in their personal lives (e.g. students at their Homestay), as well as film in classrooms, on field studies, tours, etc.
