We at Visit Skåne AB are looking for an experienced social media manager who wants to be part of shaping the future of the destination's presence in social media together with us. Visit Skåne AB is Skåne's regional DMO (Destination Management Organisation) with the task of strengthening Skåne's brand internationally and promoting the tourism and event industry. We strive for tourism in Skåne to contribute to a better society, with the vision - Skåne, where Tourism Matters!
Visit Skåne AB is owned by Region Skåne Holding AB and was formed in 2023 through a merger of Tourism in Skåne AB, Event in Skåne AB, and Business Region Skåne AB.
As Skane's official DMO (Destination management organization), we at Visit Skåne work to inspire international visitors to experience Skåne in a sustainable way all year round. We want to contribute with authentic and engaging content that creates value for our target group. We are primarily targeting the markets: Germany, Denmark, and the Netherlands.
Publiceringsdatum2023-06-30ArbetsuppgifterWe are looking for people who want to be involved and influence the development of our branding work and our social media channels.
Your duties include creating and implementing a strategy for social media that reflects Skåne's brand and goals. You develop, produce and post relevant and engaging content that arouses the interest of our target group. In addition, you are responsible for the day-to-day management of our social media platforms and interacting with our followers and other accounts.
In your role as social media manager, you also run campaigns and collaborations to increase engagement and visibility on social media. It is important that we follow trends in social media and digital marketing to be at the forefront and optimize our strategies.

We use English as the language in our social media channels. Therefore, it is important that you are fluent in English, or at a professional level. Our company language is Swedish, and the role also includes traveling around Skåne to meet and portray the passionate people who contribute to making Skåne a fantastic destination. Therefore, you will have good opportunities to develop your Swedish skills with us!
KvalifikationerWe are looking for you who has:
• Post-secondary education in marketing or communication.
• Professional level knowledge of English - both spoken and written, and some knowledge of Swedish.
• Previous experience working professionally with social media and digital marketing.
• Ability to create engaging and creative content that suits different platforms and target groups.
• Ability to speak and write English copy at a professional level.
• Experience filming, photographing, and editing content for social media at a professional level.
• Knowledge of storytelling in social media and ability to communicate authentic content that arouses emotion and interest.
• Deep knowledge and experience of using social media analytics tools to measure and optimize results.
• B driving license.
Merited qualities for the position are:
• English as a first language
• Experience of having worked with international target groups, different markets
• Good local knowledge of Skåne
• Education in marketing, communication or a related field is advantageous.

In addition, you can produce content (write, film, photograph and edit) at a professional level. We want you to stay up-to-date on the latest trends in digital communication and have a keen interest in using new digital tools (AI) to streamline your work. You can also meet people in the Scanian hospitality industry and highlight their story in a format that is adapted for various social media channels. Since sustainability is a key part of our mission, you also need to have insight and understanding of what a sustainable lifestyle and sustainable business means.
