The Research & Analysis (R&A) team serves as a key analytical resource to the Group Management and Board of Directors as well as to the group's business units. The R&A team provide analytical support covering the Group's construction and residential markets, its competitors and counterparts, and the building material & commodity markets.
Job description
Through its activities, the Group is exposed to various economic conditions across its markets. As an Analyst you will work with tracking competitors' financials, analyzing economic developments and translate macro-economic scenarios into construction market outlooks. This will entail recurring analyses covering the Group's home markets, snap-shot market analysis, as well as maintaining existing models and tools at the team's disposal. The analysis and the reports are then communicated in different ways within Skanska which makes excellent communication/presentation skills essential.
Who are you?
• Master of Science degree in finance or
economics (or equivalent)
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant or related experience.
• Experience of financial planning, economic analysis and competitor analysis in a construction company is an advantage but not a necessity.
• Fluency in English. A knowledge in Swedish and Spanish is an advantage.
• Understanding of and interest in financial markets and economic developments
• Strong communication skills in written form as well as verbally
• Should be comfortable with combining quantitative with qualitative methods to arrive at and communicate conclusions at various levels in the Group
• Ability to quickly and systematically penetrate, break down and analyze problems
• Advanced knowledge in Excel.
• Knowledge of InDesign or similar graphic tools is an advantage.
• Previous knowledge in Thompson Reuters DataStream and Bloomberg Terminal systems is an advantage.
