The Volvo Car Group's Integration Center within IT is undergoing a major revival and the aim is to push into the forefront of the integration space on a global arena. The integration landscape at Volvo Car Group supports a large number of legacy IT environments but need also to be able to support the services that our innovative cars need. This work will be the focus for the Service Owner in the nearest years to come. The services that are delivered by the Integration Center needs to be aligned to the business demands not only by functionality, availability, confidentiality etcetera but also from a financial perspective. It is the Service Owners responsibility to make sure that the service is aligned with these three drivers.
The role as Service Owner comes with lots of responsibility - and lots of fun. This assignment focus on the fast moving solutions in a Bi-Modal IT landscape where Volvo Car Group sees a rapidly growing demand. You will report to the IT Manager of Middleware Services within the ITS organisation.
Main responsibilities
• Manage the areas within Integration Center such as development and operation in order to align strategies and roadmaps with business needs
• Manage agreements with suppliers and constantly work with improvement of their deliveries
• Have a close cooperation with Business Engagement, Enterprise and Domain Architects in order to capture future needs and coming projects at an early stage
• Manage the team of Integration architects/designers and work to constantly improve the integration services at Volvo Car Group
• Manage the work in defining and communicating integration strategies and driving the integration roadmap forward
• Ensure that integration technologies, patterns, standards and architecture within Volvo Car Group IT is providing the business with the integration services and infrastructure that are needed, now and in the future
Required qualifications
• B.Sc degree or equivalent experience
• At least 10 years' experience within IT and software development, of which a few years as manager of an integration center with global deliveries
• Experience and genuine interest of managing and driving a team of architects and developers distributed in a global organization
• Experience from system integrations in a large global organization
• Knowledge about integration development and software development in general
• Knowledge of and interest in Enterprise Architecture
• Experience with suppliers and subcontractors, especially with off shore deliveries
• Experience from global projects and rollouts with off shore development is meritorious
