Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior Vice President (SVP) of Reporting, Tax, and Control (Head of Finance) to join our team.
As the SVP of Reporting, Tax, and Control, you will report directly to our CFO and will oversee our Group Accounting, Reporting, Tax, Control, and Payroll teams. Your leadership will ensure robust financial governance and compliance across all our operations. This pivotal role demands expertise in IFRS and extensive experience with publicly listed companies in Europe. Proficiency in Swedish is preferred.
What You Will Do
Group Reporting and Consolidation
Oversee the preparation and consolidation of group financial statements in accordance with IFRS
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders
Implement and maintain robust financial controls across the group
External Reporting and Compliance
Lead the preparation and review of annual and interim financial reports.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and statutory requirements, including CSRD reporting
Liaise with external auditors to facilitate smooth and efficient audits
Audit Committee Engagement
Prepare and present financial reports to the Audit Committee
Address and resolve any queries or concerns raised by the Audit Committee
Provide strategic insights and recommendations to enhance financial oversight and governance
Tax Management
Oversee the development and implementation of tax strategies to optimize tax efficiency
Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and reporting requirements
Manage relationships with tax authorities and advisors
Team Leadership
Lead and mentor the Group Accounting, Reporting, Tax, Control, and Payroll teams
Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the department
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACA, ACCA) is highly desirable.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance and accounting roles, with significant experience in publicly listed companies in Europe, Sweden preferred.
Proven track record of managing group reporting, tax, and control functions at a senior level
Extensive experience with IFRS and external reporting requirements
Skills:
Exceptional leadership and team management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders
Hands-on approach, not shy to dive into the nitty-gritty to challenge and improve existing processes while keeping the main goals in sight.
Knowledge of financial software (NetSuite) and systems
Proficiency in Swedish is preferred, in addition to fluency in English
