We are looking for a Senior Vice President Business Office & IT, GTP.

BO&IT is the Purchasing Centre of Excellence, responsible to govern and drive harmonization, efficiency, continuous improvements and IT projects to fully support the strategic priorities of GTP.

In the role of SVP BO&IT, you will lead an organization consisting of 60 skilled purchasing professionals around the globe, with roles as Project Managers, Business Improvement Leaders, Business Development managers, Governance Controllers, Data specialists and coordinators/administrators. The target is to have a healthy rotation of staff to/from the line organization in order to build an efficient team that has one foot in the daily operations. You will be a member of the GTP Executive Management Team and report to EVP GTP.

To be successful in this job you should have a high business acumen, being able to dive deep but never losing the holistic point of view on the business. You also need the interest in and the ability to grasp all the different areas of purchasing and have a deep understanding of the purchasing operation and its challenges. You can build trustful relations with the colleagues in EMT and cross-functionally to find the most efficient solutions, including challenging and harmonizing the ways of working as required and when making sense.

Main Responsibilities
• Lead the operational business in Europe and the strategic steering globally
• Lead & balance Business Office & IT resources and activities, ensuring headcount & operating expense targets
• Attract, motivate and develop staff
• Manage the scope of the department:
• Drive excellence through process management, continuous improvements & change management
• IS/IT - New development, runtime, architecture
• Lead strategic and transversal non-product projects
• Secure training coordination & execution - in close cooperation with HR
• VGMS, audit & process compliance
• Governance & EMT Management coordination
• Master data management & controlling
• Manage and structure the interfaces between GTP and other truck divisions, organizations, Business areas etc.
• Represent GTP in various fora and steering committees related to the scope
• Process owner of relevant sub-processes in the Purchasing process area
• Work in accordance with the Volvo Group processes, the Code of Conduct and the Volvo values

Competence & Experience
• University degree, preferably in Engineering and/or Business Administration
• Deep understanding of the purchasing operation and at least 10 years of purchasing experience
• At least 10 years of management experience in an international environment
• Strong leadership skills
• High level of integrity and trust
• Ability to go from the holistic strategic view and into the details
• Strong continuous improvements skills
• Communication skills
• Project management skills
• Analytical skills
• Preventive mindset but also leadership when it comes to solve problems or to take decisions
