Senior Engine Rig Engineer and Activity Leader, Dynamic Powertrain Testing
Do you possess natural leadership skills with experience in engine technology and development? Are you interested in both design and testing? Then apply for this vacancy where we are searching for a suitable candidate who can fill this consultant position at the R&D department with an attractive client in the automotive industry.
The group which the right candidate will be a part of the, Section Vehicle and Systems Testing, consists of 14 engineers responsible for testing in dynamic engine test beds where they run the engine system and simulate a complete vehicle. They are currently in the process of starting up two new powertrain test beds and in total the group is responsible for 8 engine test beds, these test beds are mainly used for calibration of performance, emissions and fuel economy. Tests of different hardware setups and new concepts are also among the daily tasks.
Daily tasks and responsibilities
• Overall: Increase efficiency and rig utilization in the system engine rigs (FPD2-5)
• Lead a team of experts from various areas of responsibility in the system rig
• Lead activities that aim to raise the quality of measured data
• Lead activities that aim to raise the utilization rate of the system rig
• Develop new methods for measuring and optimization
• Optimizing the system architecture of systems rigs
Competence Requirements
M.Sc. in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering or equal experience
Prior experience from engine calibration and software development
Prior experience from programing and scripting
Prior experience from engine test system
Prior experience from activity/project leader
Meritorious Competences
• Knowledge of HIL systems and vehicle simulation
Personality
• Team player with strong communications skills
• A genuine interest of technology and complex systems
• Knowledge based leadership
Place of work: Göteborg
Assignment: Fulltime consultant, 12 months
