hela Sverige Senior Research Scientist in Vitro - Temporary Position
For one of our largest customers we are now looking for two senior researchers with practical experience from relevant in vitro work. The duration of the assignments is 9 months. Relevant candidates have an academic degree in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology or equivalent. The work will focus on the discovery and preclinical development of new drugs for treatment of metabolic diseases like type 2 diabetes and related complications.

Your Role
You will be part of a team of scientists working with different projects and questions related to type 2 diabetes. The team is focused on different in vitro techniques and collaborates closely with other in vitro and in vivo teams.
Required Background
• PhD, alternatively at least 5 years of experience from laboratory work within a relevant area
• Thorough knowledge and experience of culturing mammalian cells
• Solid knowledge of standard techniques for the analysis of gene expression at RNA and protein level, for example PCR and Western Blot
• Ability to independently plan, perform, analyse and interpret the work
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
Desired Additional Background
Experience of one or more of the following is an advantage:
• Metabolic disease research
• Work with primary cells/tissue cultures
• Work with kidney cells or solid knowledge of the kidney its functions
• Transduction of cells using viral techniques
• Immunohistochemistry
• Assay development using automated systems.
It is also desired that you are comfortable with in vivo work.
Please state relevant techniques that you are experienced in clearly in your application.
