Overview: Overview: Höganäs Bjuf AB is a globally reputed company, as a developer, producer and supplier of smart refractory solutions for cement, aluminium, steel, ferroalloy, copper etc. The ambition of Höganäs Bjuf is to offer the most effective refractory products and turnkey solutions that will contribute to increased efficiency and profitability among the customers. The R and D center is located in Bjuv village, near to the town Helsingborg, is looking for a Senior R and D engineer to join the team of highly qualified professionals.
Job Requirements:
• B.S. or M.S in Ceramic Engineering or Refractory Engineering (preferred) or related engineering field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in monolithics (castable, gunning mixes, ramming, plastics, dry vibe etc.) materials.
• Expertise in characterization techniques such as RUL, thermal conductivity, abrasion resistance, particle size distribution, other mechanical and thermo-mechanical properties of refractories, microscopy, porosimetry and theory of particle packing.
• Project management, creativity with an excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Design of experiments.
• Strong interpersonal skills - written, presentation, and teamwork.
• Fluent in English.
Job Responsibilities:
• Conduct laboratory / pilot scale research to develop new products for the market and optimize present products.
• Co-ordinate with production for plant trials.
• Participate in industrial trials to test and validate the new developments.
• Working closely with marketing and sales force by providing technical information on developed products.
• Visit to customers to promote / support development work.
• Collaborate with production to solve production-technical issues.
• Co-ordinate with Quality Manager for solving quality related issues.
• Working closely with purchase manager in identifying new raw materials, evaluating and making specifications.
• Attend and participate in professional society technical meetings and thus keep abreast of current and projected technical developments.
• Writing, and updating technical data sheet and MSDS for the newly developed and existing products.
• Training of technicians.
• 10-20% travel.
• Relocation will be paid for right candidate to the acceptable level.
