Örebro University has a long tradition of education and research in the field of Sport Science. Today we offer following study programmes: Sports Science and Coaching Programme and Management in Sport and Recreation (bachelor level), Teacher Education Programme, and Sport Physiology and Medicine Programme (postgraduate level). Currently, eighteen students are enrolled in the PhD-program in Sport Science. Research is conducted within the research environment RISPA (Research in Sport and Physical Activity) with a range of externally funded research projects.

Subject area
The position announced is within the subject area of Sport science, with an emphasis physical education and sport pedagogy.

Duties and responsibilities
Duties include teaching, supervision and examination in courses in physical education, sport pedagogy, teaching and learning and research methods and other related subject areas dependent on the qualifications of the applicant.

The teaching involved is primarily within the Teacher Education Programme but there may also be some teaching within the Sport Science and Coaching Programme, the Master Programme and other courses. Teaching also includes course development, administration, research and third-stream activities. The position holder is also expected to contribute to the development of the PhD-program and the research environment at Örebro University.
