Kort beskrivning av företaget: The Institute of Health and Care Sciences offers a number of undergraduate and postgraduate programs as well as individual academic courses within the first and second cycle of higher education. Basic training courses for nurses and radiographers lead both to a professional degree and a bachelor's degree. Training of midwives and specialist nursing with different orientations are professional registration in combination with master's degree. All professional programs lead to professional registration. Moreover, courses are offered at the advanced level, which give opportunity for continued studies to a master's degree in one of the institute's main topics; nursing, reproductive and perinatal health, radiography and health care pedagogics. The institute offers a postgraduate program leading to a PhD degree in Health Care Sciences.

Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter: SPECIFIC SUBJECT DESCRIPTION: Health Care Science focuses on people's perceptions and experiences related to illness, disease and suffering. It does so partly in connection with the recovery, preservation and promotion of health and also in relation to the biological body and socio-cultural structures. Within the field there is a focus on how we learn as humans, as well as how care is organized. JOB ASSIGNMENTS: Responsibilities include teaching, assignment as course coordinator, supervision and examination, mostly at undergraduate level. Teaching may occur at advanced or PhD level in courses at the institution. Teaching is mainly focused on organization and leadership. Assignment as course coordinator comprises to development and coordination of learning objectives, learning activities, assessment and assessment criteria in relation to the content, purpose and current pedagogical research, and quality assurance motivated operational plans in the lnstitute. The assignment includes efforts to achieve participation in planned joint meetings and activities. The holder is expected initiate and applies for external funding.

Beskrivning av kvalifikationer: ELIGIBILITY: The qualifications for academic positions are given in Chapter 4, Section 3 - 4 of the Higher Education Ordinance. PhD degree in Health Care Sciences or equivalent as well as shown pedagogical skills. ASSESSMENT: Regulations for the evaluation of qualifications for academic positions are given in Chapter 4, Section 3 - 4 of the Higher Education Ordinance. First assessment criterion are pedagogical and scientific skills. Great emphasis will be given to teaching experience. In addition, emphasis will be given to the quality and breadth of teaching experience and current research in the field of organization and leadership. Experience of teaching in the nursing program is a plus. Merits is also supervision of thesis, experience in leading or participating in applications for external research and clinical experience. Viewed interpersonal skills and flexibility in both teacher and student groups as well as administrative skills will be considered. The candidate is expected to teach in Swedish. The successful applicant may also be asked to complete an educational program within the first year of employment.
