Position
As a senior growth and characterization engineer you will be in charge of special development projects relating to fundamental understanding and development of nanowire growth in aerotaxy, as well as setting up and running the frame work for high resolution microscopy of nanowire materials to ensure the process team gains as much knowledge as possible for the nanowire solar cell development.
Your main responsibilities will be to coordinate fundamental growth projects and characterization with the process team and external collaborators, and transfer knowledge and improved processes to the process team.
As a senior growth engineer you will help mentoring engineering staff in the aerotaxy process group on fundamental nanowire growth.
Who are we looking for?
The applicant should hold a PhD in material science with minimum of 5 years? experience in nanowire growth techniques. Further the candidate should have experience in high resolution microscopy techniques such as TEM, STEM, and analytical techniques such as EDX, and EELS. Any additional experience in solar cell device physics and industry experience is highly merited.
Good analytical skills, and good command of spoken and written English are required.
You are a highly self-motivated, independent person who likes to take owner-ship and can be relied on to see projects delivered on time. You are a specialist who are comfortable presenting your findings and recommendations in English to senior management. You are a team player who are excited to being a part of a high energy start-up and are prepared to help out with tasks that lie outside of your usual responsibility and comfort zone when needed. The day-to-day work is in Lund, Sweden.
