All about the role:
Indoor air quality is an essential aspect of our health and well-being, especially since we spend a significant amount of time indoors. Poor air quality can lead to a range of health issues, including respiratory problems, allergies, and asthma. At Electrolux, we believe in the importance of providing our customers with high-quality home appliances that promote healthy living. To achieve this, we're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electronics Engineer to join our Advanced Development Air Care team in Stockholm, Sweden.
The Advanced development Air Care team is responsible to create the foundation for next generations of Air Care products such as air purifiers and air conditioning appliances.
What you'll do:
As an electronic engineer, you will create innovative solutions and contribute to the company's future sensor technology, ensuring that our appliances not only perform optimally but also contribute to our customers' health and well-being.
You will be:
• Developing and testing prototypes and validating new sensor technologies for our home appliances.
• Scouting and reporting on new emerging technologies within the field of sensors and actuators.
• Designing and implementing prototype firmware and hardware
• Driving the execution of electronics/electrical development/integration projects/activities
• Defining and executing test procedures and GUIs for debugging, verification, and functionality
• Participating in system and subsystem reviews
• Participating in supplier evaluation and selection
• Observing the electronic market, new technologies, and components secure HW - SW interaction
• Leading collaborative sessions within and outside technical domain to gather information and vet technical opportunities, consumer needs, and optimized design.
Who you are:
• A graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience in electronic engineering, preferably with a focus on sensor implementation and development/integration into products
• In-depth knowledge of microcontrollers, DSPs, and development platforms
• Experience in designing and developing/integrating peripheral hardware and relevant firmware for communication protocols like RS232, USB, TCP/IP, and for controlling electromechanical components, sensors, displays, etc.
• Strong hardware design/integration experience, including designing schematics, conducting simulations, and guiding PCB layout to ensure EMC validations and required approvals.
• Familiarity with international safety standards for household appliances
• Good knowledge of embedded OS systems such as Linux, and C++/Python
• Proactive, open-minded, and willing to take initiative in a complex, international matrix organization.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and stakeholders.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
