www.hemocue.com. Do you want to drive HemoCue R&D activities and contribute to our long-term growth? We are looking for an experienced R&D leader ready to strengthen our innovation capability and successfully drive the development of our future products.
We are a successful, innovative company, where talent management and continuous improvement are in focus. In this position, you will lead the R&D department, based at our global headquarters in Ängelholm, Sweden, and be part of the company's leadership team.
You will be responsible for ensuring continuous innovation, defining a technology roadmap, driving the progress of our pipeline of development projects and the maintenance of our current products. You will lead and empower your team and ensure a sound cross-functional collaboration.
To become successful in this position, you need to have robust planning capabilities, be attentive to details while at the same time seeing "the big picture".
Your responsibilities and tasks will include:
Drive development of prioritized projects
Drive research and innovation to feed development pipeline
Drive improvement and maintenance of current products
Create and maintain technology strategy linked to HemoCue strategic plan, including assessment of external technologies
Participate in the long term strategy for new products in collaboration with marketing and customers
Ensure robust planning and resource allocation
Budget responsibility in the magnitude from 50-60 million SEK
Leadership responsibility for a team of 40-50 people
Maintain and ensure competency development of the R&D team
Be up to date with the demands and trends in POCT
Qualifications
You hold a MSc. in engineering or a relevant science field, a PhD degree within a relevant field will be an advantage. You have at least 10 years of experience within R&Dfrom the medical device industry and at least 5 years' experience of leading teams. You have a proven track record in driving innovation and technology projects with focus on systems, disposables and detection methods. The ability to manage and successfully completing projects involving several functions and cultures in an organization is essential. We are looking for someone with experience with Production, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), quality assurance, design control and FDA requirements. You are fluent in oral and written English.
