The Senior Director R&D for HemoCue is responsible for driving research and innovation to feed development pipeline.
In this position you will lead the global R&D function consisting of approximately 60 highly motivated associates, based at our global headquarters in Ängelholm, Sweden, and in Bangalore, India. The position is hybrid where it requires that you work in the Ängelholm office at least 3-4 days a week. At HemoCue, our vision is to do things easier, to do things better, and to do them right.
You will be part of the company's leadership team and report to the President of HemoCue.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Drive research and innovation to feed development pipeline
Prioritize and drive pipeline projects
Drive improvement and maintenance of current products
Create and maintain technology strategy linked to HemoCue strategic plan, incl. assessment of external technologies
Participate in the short- and long term strategy formulation for new solutions/products in collaboration with marketing and customers
Maintain and ensure the competency of the R&D team

The essential requirements of the job include:
MSc. in engineering or a relevant science field, PhD degree is an advantage
10+ years of experience within R&D - in the medical device industry
5+ years of experience in leading teams
Experience with quality assurance, design control and FDA requirements
Proven track record in driving innovation and technology projects to generate revenue streams
Proven track record in successfully completing cross-functional projects
Experience with Production and Design For Manufacturing (DFM)

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Post graduate business education
Project management education
Scandinavian language is an advantage, but our company language is English and the role requires you to be fluent both in written and spoken business level
