We follow the Swedish curriculum, although English, Mathematics, and Science are taught in English by native English speakers. We provide pupils with the opportunity to command the English language in a safe and orderly environment, in which teachers can teach and students can learn. With both Swedish staff, and staff from many different parts of the world, students are submerged in a multicultural environment providing them with challenges and experiences.
We are looking for an experienced and certified teacher of Science for grades 6-9 to begin in January 2016. At IES Uppsala, Science is taught in English. Therefore, fluency in the English language as the language of instruction is a requirement. The position is temporary at 40% until June 2016 with a possibility of extension.
We are looking for a motivated, dynamic teacher and a good team player. Mentorship of a class will be part of the position.
