The school is located next to Stockholm Stadium and is Sweden's leading centre of knowledge for sport, physical activity and health. We educate teachers in sport and health, trainers, health pedagogs, sport managers, sport experts and researchers. GIH conducts sport science research, often in close collaboration with other universities and societal partners both nationally and internationally. Today GIH has 140 employees and about 1000 students.
Description of the project
GIH received a large research grant to investigate how the activity based office can be implemented as well as to study the effects of this office type on physical activity, individual and organizational well being as well as performace. This three year project aims to increase our understanding of the effects of this new office type.
Duties and responsibilities
Duties include conducting advanced research on the implemenation and effects of the activity based office. You are going to work with the design of scientific studies, including data collection, in addition to supervising a research assistant, who is responsible for the data collection and administraiton. You will work independently on the development of study ideas that are with the scope of the project, analyse data as well as write scientific articles and present them at scientific conferences. Duties also include a close collaboration and keeping in touch with the participating organzations. It will also be part of your responsibility to establish effective routines related to research documentation, conduct administrative work related to research as well as work with applications for ethical approval of the studies related to this project. Under periods of the project, you will lead the project under supervision of the project leader.
Qualification requirements
Potential candidates shall have:
• A PhD exam within the social social sciences, psychology, public health or corresponding areas.

• Very great importance is attached to the experience with statistical analysis for example logitudional, multilevel or diary studies
• Very great importance is attached to good collaboration skills and personal suitability for this employement for example to being service mindet, having good analytic skills as well as being concerned about quality
• Great importance is attached to publications and ciations in international scientific journals indexed in Web of Science
• Great importance is attached to documented experience in applying and receiving research grants
• Great importance is attached to good knowledge on methods for data collection
• Importance is attached to documented skills to present research within the scientific community as well as to practitioners
• Importance is attached to experience in project management
• Importance is attached to experience of qualitativ methods and analysis
• Importance is attached to good knowledge in English in speech and writing
Duration/Time of employment
The position is a temporary position with a duration of 12 months correspondint to 100% of fulltime. The beginning date needs to be agreed upon, however latest 1st of august 2019.
Salary
Salary is set on an individual basis.
