We are now recruiting a Research Engineer for initially a three months assignment, preferably the candidate start as soon as possible, location Uppsala.
Overall Purpose of Assignment and Key Deliverables
The Mab Applications section belongs to the Bioprocess Media Department of our clients Healthcare R&D organization. The mission is to support the department with expertise and technologies regarding downstream processing of antibodies and related molecules, and also regarding analytical methods relevant to antibodies and key impurities. This role will primarily support with protein characterization expertise
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
To support research, development and support projects with protein characterization. This includes planning, performing, analyzing and reporting the studies. Reporting includes technical reports and presentations at internal meetings. Development of new analytical methods can occur.
Key skills and experience
We are looking for a candidate with a Technical education, MSc or Engineering degree in biochemistry, analytical chemistry or similar areas and preferably with a cpuple of years experience including:
Solid experience from laboratory work in the area of protein characterization.
Experience of electrophoresis, immunological analytical techniques, mass spectormetry and Biacore.
Experience in chromatographic purification.
A flexible, accurate and structured way of working.
English and Swedish as working languages, both spoken and in writing.
