Electrical and Hybrid Electrical Vehicle Systems group is seeking for a talented engineer to join our teams.
The group closely follows the front line technology and research in hybrid electric powertrain, electric energy storage, electric drive, fuel cell and fuel cell systems. In the field of hybrid electric vehicles, the areas of competence are electric motor drives, traction batteries, hybrid powertrain control, and electric control architecture. Vehicle simulation activities focus on design and control of hybrid electric vehicle. The group runs and participates in a wide range of projects with short-term as well as long-term goals. For example, design and implementation of prototypes and products, feasibility studies, concept vehicles etc.
As a part of our group you will mainly focus on energy storage and fuel cell technology where you will partly work on our research projects within these fields but also you will take an active role in further development of our battery and fuel cell laboratories. In our traction battery laboratory we conduct life cycle tests as well as functionality tests of batteries, from battery cell level to complete battery systems. The fuel cell team develops deep knowledge in fuel cell stacks mainly for auxiliary power systems. We perform testing both on the cell and stack level for fuel cells.
Core Responsibilities
Participate and make significant technical contributions to various concurrent R&D projects within field electric energy storage technology and fuel cells technology
Take a lead in laboratory management for our fuel cells and battery laboratory
Required Competencies
Understanding of the battery and fuel cell industries and technologies involved
Experience in test planning, laboratory experimentation, and data analysis
Good communication and teamwork skills
Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision
Fluency in Swedish and English language
Minimum Years of Experience Required
Minimum 5 years of development experience combining experimentation and theory/analysis in electric energy storage or fuel cell technology
Minimum Education Required
M.Sc or PhD (Electrochemical or Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering)
