As a Packaging Developer, there is great opportunity and variety in activities day to day, including:
Participating in projects to plan, develop, deliver and document packaging and packaging material solutions.
Being accountable for delivery in assigned design control roles for development and change projects
Ensuring technical documentation is up to date and fully industry compliant
Maintaining existing and developing knowledge of new packaging materials
Securing supply for existing product solutions by working with internal partners and material suppliers
Suggesting continuous improvements to processes, work instructions and ways of working
Taking the lead for technical aspects during discussions and negotiations with appointed suppliers
Acting as a subject matter partner to procurement and SQA for packaging issues

What you'll need
Demonstrable knowledge of R&D or product development
Previous experience working in similar highly regulated environment
Knowledge of manufacturing and design transfer process
Prior exposure to Global Regulatory Requirements and standards
Solid understanding of Quality Management Systems and design control
Academic background in engineering or product design would be beneficial
Fluent written and spoken English language
Specific work history with medical devices would also be beneficial
