Job Description
Our unique combination of process technology specialist skills and multidisciplinary engineering expertise enables us to provide real value add to our clients in all kind of studies, implementation projects as well as during daily operations of the industrial plant. Environmental, Health and Safety and other consulting assignments are done in co-operation with process technology specialist to enable the big picture and correlations with processes.
The Purchaser has the responsibility to perform procurement-related activities in the project to deliver on requirements, budget and schedule.
Responsibilities within the project core team
Follow the Procurement Manual, perform procurement activities and support the Procurement Manger, in line with the Project Management Plan.
Ensure that all equipment and material are purchased within time and budget.
Support during the negotiation of all sub-contracts for the execution of the works.
Making sure measures for expediting and inspection is in the contracts.
Use the procedures for transportation and custom clearance (if applicable) of the equipment/material
Communicate with site warehousing for the correct storage and safe handling of equipment delivered to site.
Communicate any changes or claims from the suppliers to the Procurement Manager in a timely manner
Monitor and control schedule and cost regularly for all equipment/material to be procured and implement corrective actions, as necessary, in order to complete the procurement on time and within budget
Inform Procurement Manager with any change orders towards the suppliers and sub-suppliers
Once the project has been closed, support the Procurement Manager with input and lessons learned from the procurement in the project closure report.
These main tasks and duties may be subject to adaptation in a specific project to meet the respective contract requirements.
Qualifications
Education
Technical secondary school degree or equivalent
Additional education in economics or equivalent
Purchase education
Experience
We see that you should have a documented experience in purchasing in relevant industry for at least 3 years. Further you need to have experience with negotiation and agreement work. Do you have experience in off-shore/naval business is an advantage
Hard Skills
Competence about legal agreements
Good PC-knowledge in appropriate parts
Knowledge in the company ERP system
Relevant skills within NL, Orgalime, AB04, ABT06, ABA 99 etc
Master technical Swedish
Master spoken and written English, additional language skills is an advantage
Deviation from above competencies can be compensated through longer purchase experience
Soft Skills
Analytical ability to establish and drive the procurement plan
Ability to coordinate purchasing activities both internal and external
Driving force for own competence development.
