ABOUT YOU

You have an academic degree in engineering or equivalent working experience and several years of experience in contracting and/or consulting and/or owner's role involving construction projects. Other experiences of yours is facilitating construction project reviews and follow ups, different procurement and project delivery methods including contract development and negotiations, design development and/or design coordination of a project and construction management on site.

You have proven skills in developing, supporting, coaching and training people. You have experience from working in an international environment. Experiences from either or both Ingka Centres, CFF & Stores and other Ikea formats is an advantage.

You have knowledge in the following areas:

• project management including quality and risk
• construction project estimation, scheduling, budgeting and cost management
• procurement processes, construction contracts and legal issues
• deeper knowledge of one or several local construction market including maturity, development & trends
• deeper knowledge of one or several local national authority permission process
• construction materials, engineering solutions and life safety & property protection systems (e.g. fire protection systems) (company specific and local/national)
• tools for timeline-, document- and design management and other common software
• sustainability (environmental, social and economic aspects)
• knowledge about BREEAM and LEED including evaluation of low impact construction materials.
• tools for timeline-, document- and design management and other common software
• construction HSE (Health, Safety and Environment)
• Ingka construction standards and investment procedures

ABOUT THE JOB
You will work in a team of co-workers developing the Construction Project Delivery business area at the Group Real Estate. You will align the implementation and communication towards the Clusters. You will always strive to assist the Cluster teams to develop into high performance teams. This will always be carried out with a best for project focus.
You will cover one or several of the current key competence areas:
1. Project Estimate, Budget & Cost Management
2. Project Delivery & Procurement Strategy
3. Pre and On site Project Management
4. Scheduling, Quality & Risk Management
5. Health and Safety including IWAY compliance for Construction Projects
You will:

• lead and develop the construction project delivery competence in Ingka in cooperation with relevant stakeholders across Ikea and supporting functions
• lead the development in how to engage with stakeholders, designers and contractors to continuously find cost efficient and innovative project delivery by optimizing the delivery of our partners and stakeholder's competence and knowledge into the projects at the right time
• work and engage closely with Group Procurement and Group Real Estate Engineering Manager to find these new, creative and barrier breaking ways of working and also keep Ingka's ownership, initiative and control of all aspects of the projects
• lead and engage with stakeholders and partners in a team effort to ensure successful construction projects with challenging but realistic and achievable schedules and budgets
• work and contribute actively to the Group's project support and reviews with the general purpose of aggregating and visualizing the global project pipeline from Group Expansion
• participate in and/or lead task forces for complex, non-conventional or special projects
• develop and promote remote and web-based methods and solutions for project support and review
• be prepared to participate and take responsibility for the Group Construction's proactive and engaged project support and review as well as general Cluster support if this being delegated
• be prepared to participate and take responsibility for targeted individual project support, follow-up and review including identification of learnings if being delegated
• work and contribute actively to Health & Safety at work sites together with other Ingka resources
• work and co-ordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure that specifications, standards, guidelines, manuals etc. relating to construction project delivery are documented and that these are also consistent with other Ingka documentation
