Scania is looking for a Project Coordinator to join our Cab & Electronics Purchasing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work where technology and innovation meet, in one of the most dynamic and successful transport companies in the world. As Project Coordinator you will have the opportunity to build a broad network within Scania and to really make a difference with your ideas and your daily work.
Scania Global Purchasing is responsible for the procurement of products and services for all Scania units worldwide. Our global purchasing organisation is based in Södertälje, Sweden, and has around 700 employees globally. The Project Master Team is part of Project Purchasing at Cab & Electronics. We are 9 employees responsible for project coordination and the procurement of prototypes supporting Scania's development projects.
Your tasks
You will be responsible for project coordination at the purchasing department Cab & Electronics, focusing on purchasing's responsibilities and deliverables during product development.
You work proactively to ensure that project specific deadlines and targets are met. You compile and present relevant information for the management team to inform about the status within ongoing projects and thus ensure the best way forward.
A part of your assignment will be to further develop already existing methods and to implement new ways of controlling, measuring and following-up project purchasing. In your role, you will also represent the department at cross-functional meetings.
You will have many interfaces and contacts within Scania, working with your purchasing colleagues as well as colleagues from R&D and Production.
Your profile
You have a university degree in engineering, business administration or similar and preferably a few years of relevant working experience.
As your work includes a lot of interactions at different levels, both internally and cross-functionally, it is important that you are a team player, have the ability to build trust and that you are clear in your communication with others. As a person you are proactive, structured and flexible.
You are eager to develop yourself and your role and you feel comfortable challenging yourself and others in order to achieve the best result - you present solutions instead of obstacles.
You have a systematic approach and you like to analyze big amounts of data and information in order to identify deviations, establish projects' status and in order to draw conclusions that allow for further improvements of our way of working. You are an experienced user of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
You are fluent in English, proficiency in Swedish is advantageous.
If this description matches your profile and ambitions, we look forward to receiving your application.
We offer
We offer an interesting and challenging job, with plenty of scope for new ideas. Scania's culture is characterised by openness, diversity and respect for the individual. Our people are our most important resource, so we invest in employee training. We will give you the opportunity to develop your skills so you can grow with us. If you want to work at a company somewhere that values participation and constant development, Scania is the place for you.
