Our site in Västerås is dealing with projects ranging from development to production management and delivery of complete vehicles, both for the Swedish market and for export, development and production of propulsion and control systems, service, maintenance and complete traffic systems. journeys, you'll help millions of people to go further, too.
We are currently looking to recruit a Project Controller for our location in Vasteras, Sweden
In this role you will be partnering with the Project Manager sharing accountability for the achievement of the project financial targets. The role provides accurate and timely financial information for business decision-making as well as consolidated financials, while ensuring strong and effective controls are in place.
The role is a key contact for all financial and audit issues relating to the project. This includes close monitoring of project deliverables, assessment and measuring of the financial impact of risk, opportunities, contingencies and all other provisions, as well as a proactive management of project cash-flow and margin.
The Project Controller acts within the controllership mandate and plays a key role in providing added value financial input for project execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND CHALLENGES:
Act as a Business Partner for the Project Manager and the Project Core Team
Attend regular business reviews
Keep Project Manager continuously updated on financial situation of the entire project and upcoming R&Os and provisions and ensure financial transparency within the Project Core Team
Interface and liaise with Customer, build collaborative network with customers and stakeholders, single point of contact for customer related financial issues
Support the Gate Review Process
Ensure that project calculations reflect current status of EAC approved and proposed in Global FORE and preparing EAC change requests
Review and challenge Project Risks, Opportunities, Contingencies and all other provisions, and the Project Cash planning (including action plans & follow up)
Challenge the project team to assure a successful project execution
Update Estimated-at-completion calculation for Budget and Forecast
Review and analyze variances between Budget, Forecast and Actual figures of the project and the project related Balance Sheet items and comment on them in monthly reporting
Prepare and update monthly reports and presentation in project review meetings
Ensure adherence to all relevant Financial processes and Guidelines
Support Hard Close and account reconciliation process
Qualifications
• Bachelor or master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Controlling and/or relevant work experience
• Strong knowledge of international and local standards, Project Controlling and/or Bombardier Accounting Principles
• Experience with month end closing, managing project budget/forecast
• Experience with different reporting / accounting systems (SAP: SD, FI, CO modules, Business Intelligence reporting)
• Tangible experience of delivering in multi-disciplinary teams in a matrix organization is considered a plus
• Strong communication and diplomacy skills
• Ability to define and manage priorities within deadlines
• Flexibility and ability to adapt to a dynamic business environment
• Excellent communication, teamwork, accuracy skills.
• Fluency in English
