The Program Manager will be responsible for the management of projects towards defined high caliber customer in Japan and will manage program deliverables from a cross-functional global team to achieve the agreed program goals and objectives. Following the KA Management System, Knowledge Based Development - New Product Integration (KBD-NPI) you will lead a team bringing product from strategic identification to running production.
Responsibilities includes, but not limited to:
• Responsible for the management of programs from strategic target to running production, whilst achieving flawless launches
• Ensuring Project documents are created, maintained and updated via the PLM (Product Life Management) structure, with the understanding that this is a mandatory requirement, regularly audited by internal and external assessors.
• Always following KA's Management System and QA routines
• Planning and co-ordination of the project deliverables via our PPM tool PLANISWARE
• Overview and control of economy (budget, turnover, hours, contribution, etc.) of the business
• Achieving complete customer satisfaction
• Reporting project/program status to the Business Area Steering Committee (STC)
• Establishing relationships with the customers on necessary levels
The job may involve travel to other countries and could involve extended length of stay.
Candidate profile
You have BSc or BA degree with and a minimum of 3+ years' experience in the area of program management/technical and commercial project management in automotive industry. Knowledge and experience of PM processes and experience in production, quality, purchasing, marketing and / or product / process development is desirable. Ability to produce good written reports and relevant presentations. Fluent in English, both oral and written, is a requirement.
You possess leadership, interpersonal skills, personal drive and confidence to lead and work with customers and cross-functional teams to earn trust and team support to meet program objectives. You have a high degree of personal integrity and confidence and the ability to make quick decisions based on a combination of experience as well as advice from other people. You have the ability to think clearly and react effectively under pressure while remaining focused on key objectives and strategies.
