About the role

The International Product Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing the global product portfolio on assigned products to drive business growth and ensure alignment with market demands. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams such as product development, sales, marketing, and regional managers to strategically plan and execute product lifecycle management, drive new product introductions, and maintain a competitive portfolio across different regions. One main goal is to ensure that the product portfolio delivers exceptional value to customers and addresses their evolving needs.

The position is based at BraunAbility's facility in Stenkullen, just outside Gothenburg.

The role is broad, and the main responsibilities includes

Global Portfolio Strategy

• Develop and implement a comprehensive global product portfolio strategy on assigned products that aligns with corporate goals and market trends.

• Evaluate and prioritize products within the portfolio based on performance, market needs, profitability, and potential for growth in different geographies.

• Continuously assess the portfolio to identify gaps, opportunities for innovation, or areas for rationalization (e.g., phase-out of underperforming products).

• Collaborate with OEMs to secure future proof of our products

Market Analysis and Insights

• Conduct in-depth market analysis across regions to understand customer needs, competitive dynamics, and emerging industry trends.

• Use market insights and customer feedback to refine product strategies and optimize product-market fit.

• Collaborate with regional teams (ASM) to tailor the product portfolio to specific local market demands while ensuring global consistency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Product Development and R&D teams to align new product initiatives, ensuring that products meet global market needs and technical specifications.

• Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support to develop product positioning, go-to-market strategies, and promotional plans.

• Collaborate with Finance and Supply Chain teams to ensure product profitability, cost optimization, and effective inventory management.



Product Lifecycle Management

• Lead the management of the product lifecycle from ideation and development to launch and phase-out, ensuring alignment with both business strategy and customer expectations.

• Ensure that product launches are executed successfully and on time, with all necessary resources and training in place.

• Monitor product performance across regions, using KPIs such as sales, market share, customer satisfaction, and profitability to evaluate success and recommend adjustments.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you need at least 5+ years of experience in product portfolio management, product management, or similar roles, with a particular focus on international markets. You must have a solid background in managing complex and global product portfolios across multiple regions and industries. A deep understanding of market dynamics, consumer behavior, product lifecycle management and competitive landscapes in different geographies is an integral part of your expertise.

In terms of education, we see that you hold a bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, with an MBA or further education being a plus.Finally, fluency in Swedish and English is required, while additional language skills are considered a significant advantage.

Furthermore, you are a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of how to balance short-term goals with long-term business objectives. You possess strong analytical and communication skills, and you have a strong ability to influence and build relationships across teams and regions.
