What's in it for you?
Our purpose at department Vehicle Energy and Motion Control (VEMC), is to develop and deliver the most energy efficient and situation adopted ride and driving experience.
The Energy Efficiency group consists of four teams that are jointly responsible for designing and developing functionality and strategies to optimize energy consumption. Both through effective control, based on all known information about route and user patterns, but also through coaching and information to the driver to create a better understanding of what affects energy consumption. Accurate range estimation is an important part of this to create assurance in our functions. We are also responsible for a third-party API that makes energy data available to, for example, energy suppliers that the customer wants to allow to optimize charging based on price.
What will you do?
As Product owner for the two Energy Manager teams (Design and Development) you are responsible to define product vision and strategy, develop and prioritize product features.
You will work closely with the teams to ensure product quality and timely deliver. You will provide guidance and mentorship to team members.
Key to achievement is close collaboration with the PO for the other two teams in the group, as well as PO:s in other departments with whom there are dependencies, mainly in UX, Charging and Thermal.
The two teams are working cross functionally together, but with main responsibility for concept development, requirement setting, and system engineering in one team, and software design, implementation, and testing in the other.
Together they deliver functionalities like; Electrical Distance to Empty (range prediction), predictive thermal management, smart pre-conditioning, range assist and trip computer.
This is a broad area with many dependencies which gives you a great opportunity to contribute with a holistic vehicle control view, and create modular system solutions supporting our different vehicle platforms.
Do you fit the profile?
We seek someone who is open minded and curious with a good ability to cooperate. You have enthusiastic communication and leadership skills, and the ability to cope with many topics in parallel. You are a technical-minded people person who appreciate to work with different cultures. Besides being customer focused, you have a great analytical capability, is structured, and organized in daily work.
You bring experience from software and system development and have the ability to see the bigger picture. You are well familiar with agile methodologies, and have more than 5 years of work experience in relevant field, and holds at least a Master's degree in engineering.
We assume that you communicate fluently in English (speech and writing) and have a driving license (level B).
