Paxport has ambitious growth plans, from a successful beginning in the Charter airline industry, Paxport is in the process of repositioning to also exploit the Schedule and Low-cost airline markets, to help them develop their ancillary services and create a seamless/self-service retail experience for their passengers.
The role as Head of Group Product Development at Paxport involves a strategic and operational responsibility for the daily product development activities. You will lead the company's development team, today consists of about 12 software developers at Paxport headquartered in Stockholm, as well as abroad. We are working with Agile methodology and you'll like to motivate and enthuse your staff through a good and lively dialogue.
You have staff liability and financial responsibility for the entire development unit.
You will be part of the management team and report to our Product Manager who has the commercial product responsibility.
The unit's work consists of the development of new functionality in Paxport's software platform, development of integrations to our customers, e commerce platform, airlines, systems, and management of our software platform, often with a focus on technical performance when working with large volumes and time-critical processes.

Publiceringsdatum2014-08-12KvalifikationerTo succeed in the role you have several years experience in a similar position preferably from retail or e-commerce business, if you also have experience in aviation or travel industry it is an advantage. You are an experienced leader who is leading in a positive way through to enthuse and motivate your team. You have a proven track record of having driven successful software development projects. You are likely to have a university degree in IT or engineering.
We place great emphasis on your personal characteristics. You are ambitious, driven and creative. One of your strengths is to motivate others. You are passionate about client's needs, to participate in the development of both the company and your colleagues.
Your team is responsible for the whole development spectrum covering architecture, design, software development, test, documentation and integration. Paxport works in Scrum teams and you should be interested in and have the ability to develop our way of working further. Paxport also have some development offshore something that is expected to grow further hence experience of offshore is a plus. In the near future developing e-commerce related functionality will be a significant focus while such experience would be beneficial.
