Product Buyer, Restraints

Volvo Cars Purchasing is ultimately responsible for the selection of all Volvo Cars' suppliers and has the responsibility for the procurement of all production and non-production material and services to Volvo Cars. The supply of materials and services- to the right quality, in the right quantity and on time- is essential to the smooth running of the company and to match our customer's expectations.
Job profile
• Negotiate and establish agreements with suppliers
• Act on design changes and supplier time plans in new vehicle projects
• Resolve and establish action plans on part-specific supplier issues in running business
• Administration work e.g. transacts and updates price files, purchasing orders, reporting progress and result, etc.
• Participate in cross functional teams with engineering, quality and manufacturing
• Ensure supplier selections and establishment of agreements orders
• Run continuous improvements activities, both within purchasing and at suppliers sites
Your profile

• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Strong computer skills including Excel
• Commercial or technical university degree or equivalent
• Technical knowledge/experience/interest is an advantage
• Experience from a buyer role and /or various kind of negotiations experience from leading projects is an advantage
• Experience from automotive industry is an advantage
