hela Sverige Futuraskolan is a private organization that runs internationally focused pre-schools and schools in the Stockholm region. Today there 12 pre-schools, 8 schools, about 400 employees and 2500 children and students at Futuraskolan.

We are currently looking for a Principal for Futuraskolan Stockholm Bilingual, located at Gärdet in Stockholm. This school was founded in August 2012 and is a bilingual school (Swedish and English) for grades F-9. The school will have approximately 100 students in august 2013, ranging from grade F to grade 7, and will eventually contain 250 students from grades F-9.
The school follows the Swedish curriculum Lgr11 with about 50% of the instruction in English, with the aim to offer all our students a functional bilingualism. We have an International focus, we base our education on modern research and prepare our students for the global world through the International Programs "International Primary Curriculum" (IPC) and "International Middle Years Curriculum" (IMYC).
Futuraskolan Stockholm Bilingual currently shares a building with Futuraskolan International, a fully English-spoken sister school. The schools will continue to share a building for the coming year, but after that the bilingual school will be moved to a new location in the same area.
We want the applicant to have a Bachelor of Education and documented experience of pedagogical leadership in a school environment. Having completed the state run Principal Education Scheme is a plus. The applicant should also have a profound knowledge of Lgr11, Swedish School Law and other relevant regulations. We want the applicant to be passionate about school development and learning. Finally, we are looking for a pedagogical leader with a genuine interest in creating an excellent school.
As a Principal at Futuraskolan you are part of our management group. The management group consists of approximately fifteen principals and pre-school principals, with lots of room for intense and developing discussions in both Swedish and English.
