Through strong technical leadership, we lead the development of complete vehicles for Volvo Trucks and are accountable for the product deliverables in FH/FM/FMX and multi-brand pre-studies and projects. We are a high performing, professional team of project and requirement managers, product structure specialists and vehicle architects who have projects as our home turf. We are continuing our journey to build a high performing department and are now taking a step in strengthening our vehicle deliveries and product ownership by developing a new portfolio and maintenance function to drive the portfolio and maintenance activities for Vehicle Engineering Volvo Trucks in Gothenburg. Therefore we are recruiting an experienced Portfolio & Maintenance Manager to join our department.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As our Portfolio & Maintenance Manager you will have a key position in securing our product deliveries for Vehicle Engineering Volvo Trucks. You will:
Be accountable for Portfolio Management for VE Volvo Trucks (PC24/multi brand)
Manage PI and pre-studies for VE Volvo Trucks (PC24/multi brand)
Govern CI/Q-PMR's and provide a consolidated view for MA/L/FU PMR's (PC24/multi brand)
Be accountable for Cost Improvement activities, deliveries and prioritizations for FH/FM/FMX
Be the Customer Adaptation Key Account Manager and lead activities to support CA in securing business objectives
Actively develop the portfolio and maintenance function
You will work in close cooperation with the Chief Engineer PM & VA, portfolio managers within other departments in VE, both locally as well as globally for PC24 and with line managers and PME-V's. You will also be the key interface for VE Volvo Trucks towards TPP, GTO, Finance, Powertrain and Volvo Trucks for your area of responsibility. You will be supported in your tasks by a Product Portfolio Engineer.
The position reports to the Chief Engineer Project Management & Vehicle Architecture and is located in Gothenburg.

This is a senior position of strategic importance. We are looking for an entrepreneurial leader with strong leadership qualities including organizational agility. You must be a good communicator, are able to manage ambiguity and have the capacity to develop a new function and build an effective team. You see challenges as inspiring and have a high level of integrity and easily build trust. You also have the ability to create and maintain a diverse network of people.
Project management experience on Senior or Lead PM level and preferably line manager experience
Broad knowledge of our portfolio and portfolio management practices. Steering committee experience is an advantage
Excellent technical knowledge of Volvo Trucks HD products
Experience in managing maintenance activities
Big advantage, but not a demand to have experience in CA and cost improvement
Fluent English, both oral and in writing
