Volvo Group Operations Graduate Program

If you are up for the challenge of developing the next generation of production plants or distribution centers and want to be a part of the innovative world of Volvo Group, this is the graduate program for you!

During 15 intense and exciting months, the program will give you a holistic view of the Volvo Group's global truck manufacturing organization. You will get to know our different brands and their plants and learn about our logistics organizations and activities. You will take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business such as manufacturing, health and safety, quality, and continuous improvements, while also learning about the end-to-end supply chain, aftermarket parts, and our remanufacturing operations. You will be part of the transformation in our industry, working with new technologies and building the competencies for tomorrow.

In parallel, you will grow your interpersonal skills through individual and team development sessions. You will have a permanent position from day one, with a manager and mentor to support you. You will have the opportunity for several "on-the-job" rotations and experience working on real project assignments. In addition, you will join a number of learning modules where you get together with other program participants to take part in training and events designed to help you grow into your future career at the Volvo Group.

Our organization:
The Remanufacturing organization comprises of about 800 employees in 7 locations world-wide. Our task is to produce the Volvo Group developed Remanufactured products and to contribute with further business development with growth in Circular economy. We support all Brands and Business Areas in the Volvo Group.

Remanufactured components are offered to Volvo Group customers worldwide. Through an exchange system various used components and Volvo products such as engines, gearboxes, exhaust filters and rear axle transmissions are collected and factory renovated to the same condition as new parts. Gearboxes produced through remanufacturing needs 80% less energy and material than producing a new component.

This is us, your new team:
The Reman Business & Technology team is a small but globally located team working cross functionally in the Volvo Group. With the passion for sustainability we work closely with business and technology in order to drive and develop Remanufacturing and other circular offers. We take pride in the craftsmanship needed to salvage the components and get recognized for being easy to do business with. Our manager is a passionate leader, who creates energy for continuous improvements and development to achieve results. The manager also values open trustful dialogues and collaborations.

Main activities and responsibilities:
The Reman Engineer is a specialist in Remanufacturing business and technology and lead Remanufacturing activities through-out the Reman lifecycle process in one or more areas and phases. As a Remanufacturer engineer you will grow into the position and be introduced to broader and broader working tasks as you develop. We are now strengthening our team in the Electromobility area.

You will lead investigation/projects and support the Volvo Group product brands in setting the Reman strategy, perform and identify advanced engineering investigations, participating in the product development projects with Reman knowledge towards design (engineering), sourcing (purchasing) and aftermarket (engineering and product owners), and be leading the Industrialization with hand-over to the Remanufacturing site.

Who are you?
To be successful in this role you will possess the following qualifications and skills:
M.Sc. within Engineering
Valid work-permit for applied country if not citizen
Solid English skills, other languages for example French is meriting
Maximum of two years previous work-experience prior to or after graduation
Project leadership
Knowledge in Electromobility/Li-on batteries
Willing to learn and develop
Knowledge in circular economy, repair and recycling techniques is meriting
Software development skills is meriting
