Wärtsilä Voyage Services Fleet Optimisation is designed to help maritime operators improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance safety, all while supporting environmental sustainability and regulatory compliance. We are now looking for 2 passionate Operational Purchaser to join our skilled Purchasing team. The preferred location for the position is Göteborg, Sweden.

What will you be doing?
With us the Operational Purchaser plays a crucial role in ensuring our supply chain runs smoothly and efficiently. Your tasks will revolve around the complete process of maintaining the correct level and availability of stock, while keeping costs under control. You will be responsible for managing the day to day purchasing activities, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and collaborating closely with suppliers to secure our deliveries.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to
Execute daily purchasing tasks, including placing orders, following up on deliveries, and managing supplier relationships.
Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and prevent stock shortages or excesses
Plan for raw material/ sub material or sub assembly required for production
Ensure invoices are accurate and check them against deliverables before sending invoice for processing
Ensure accurate and timely processing of purchase orders and maintain detailed records.
Take part in meetings with suppliers and internal stakeholders, travelling may be required
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, finance and product delivery team to align procurement activities with company objectives
Track supplier performance, resolve any issues and implement improvements where necessary


The below will enable you to succeed in this role
2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain management
Degree in supply chain management or related field is preferred or equivalent experience
Fluent Swedish and English
Proficiency in ERP systems preferably Dynamics 365 Business Central and MicroSoft Office
Proficient in data analysis and BOM configuration familiarity is advantage
Well versed in multi-cultural environments
Team player with social skills and create sustainable relationships with ease
Accountable and driven person with focus on quality, delivery and cost
Proactive problem-solver who is organized, like challenges and improvement
A keen interest in electronics, preferably with experience from prior employment is an advantage

The position may entail some travelling to visit vendors or exhibitions. We will place great emphasis on previous experience and on personality - it is important that the persons we hire is a good fit within the team.
